Book Review: BUILDING A STORY BRAND!

Many companies make a mistake that costs them money. They don’t explain clearly what it is their company does. Mr Donald Miller wrote a fantastic book that is so helpful to clarify the marketing messages to grow any company. He has several books, including the bestsellers ‘Blue Like Jazz’ and ‘A Million Miles in a Thousand Years.
Here I am writing about the ‘Building a Story Brand’. It has explained:
- Seven universal story points all humans respond to
- Real reason customers make purchases
- How to simplify a message, so people understand and act on it
- How to create the most effective messaging for websites, brochures and social media

It will forever transform how you talk about who you are, what you do, and the unique value you bring to your customers.
This book has become the playbook for me, and I have applied the framework to several marketing campaigns that Mr Miller put in his book. We all know the power of a story. Mr Miller has captured in his book the process to make your brand story straightforwardly.

This book reminds me that all standard communication begins and ends with compassion. It helps me know that the first thing is to listen if you want to be seen, heard, and registered.
I got to know by reading this book why I should do the proper user research, journey mapping, testing messages, positioning the product, persona crafting and content marketing strategy. He has covered the process, creativity, writing, people, platform, product, relationship, market, behaviour, and the story.
It is a fantastic book for every marketer. I must say, it will change your thoughts.
