A powerful lesson is one where students are fully involved, listening, and interacting with the teacher and each other regarding the materials presented. I design my topics to be thought-provoking and fun at the same time because students want to have fun and that they learn more effectively when learning is a pleasure, not a chore.
My teaching philosophy is simple. I use a hands-on technique and am approachable to my students. I incorporate humour into my class all the time. And I am lucky that my easy-going style fits all the subjects I taught. My colleagues used to say that I am fun but formidable, and their assessment is accurate somewhere down the line.
One of my areas for improvement is time management. I have so many creative and educational activities planned that sometimes I need to catch up during one class session. It sometimes becomes difficult to incorporate each move into the lesson, although I know that my students will learn from them.
My efforts were to unleash the hidden geniuses within my students. I have tried my level best. On the last presentation day, all my students fascinated me by crafting their ideas and planning on digital marketing through their fantastic presentation. It was a memorable day in my teaching journey.
I enjoyed having all my students in my class this semester and appreciated the effort they put into their work. The whole classroom was imaginative and creative, with great ideas. I loved their contributions to the assignment, presentation, and during classes.
Learning is a mutual task, it is a collaborative exercise, and it is an agreement as well. I have learned so many things so far working in a classroom. What I enjoy most about this job is the scope of learning; my focus always is on people and the relationships I have with them through education or skill development. How people interact with innovation, imagination, desires, and needs makes me want to be in this field.
The one thing I want to say to my students is that despite your academic career coming to a close. Always recall one thing learning is a constant process.
I will miss all of you! God bless you! Make us proud.
